Thanks for posting this. After watching the video, it sucks to hear him say that. But I spent a couple of hours going through pics of his autographed books (through book signings) vs the TTMs. Despite his comments, I have to say there’s optimism because:
1) His TTM autos look very similar to the books autos.
2) His grandkids are like elementary school kids and younger (from pics i saw on his Twitter or Instagram), so I doubt they can come close to signing his exact signature. And would they really sit there, opening a lot of his mail for him, sign things, and physically stuff it back returned. Kids rather do kid stuff.
3) “10,000 fan mail” is obviously exaggerated.
4) Maybe he said it, knowingly it was going to be publicly posted just to scare autograph seekers to stop sending fan mail to his house. Just to psych people out mentally.
5) What’s “half” in this case, were those actually sent back to fans, OR it was kept back for his grandkids to sign for fun but never was sent, we wonder?
6) Just weird for him to randomly say that when the whole interview/meeting is about life, meditation, Zen, etc. It's like he wanted to get it out of his chest that he's tired of the fan mail being spiked up caused by the Last Dance.
We have seen those TTMs pass in Beckett and PSA and appearing in eBay listings, so now I wonder those TPA companies will stop passing those authentication submissions and automatically fail them due to this panic.Last edited by MFFL629; 09-14-2020 at 08:05 PM.
