New here and one thought.
Hey everyone, just got started doing ttms after a 20 year hiatus. (Currently 35). I am a Braves fan who mostly collects baseball and football. Always been “informed” of the hobby at large buying things I liked and could afford at garage sales and flea markets while attending small local card shows. When I stopped sending ttms I had about 300 football and baseball cadds. At that time I would only send to current players at team addresses.
One thing I have noticed is that I have been sending players 2 cards and offering them one if they’d like. Most of the players accept the offer. I see other people sending 3-4 cards and getting all back. Unless you are paying, always offer extra cards to players. It’s the least we can do. I understand people might be working on 8 sets at once but it hurts the hobby. Take care all and thank you to all the mods and people who run the site.

I agree about offering extra cards. It's a nice gesture.
If you REALLY want / need an auto, sending money also helps. I have tried this a few times (can't afford to do it all the time), and I've had the check returned to me about half the time. Some included a note 'thanking' me for the offer.
Welcome to the site, BTW!
