CDC: How Indoor Sports Like Ice Hockey Can Become Covid-19 Coronavirus Outbreaks
Oh, puck. If you want to play indoor ice hockey exactly the way that you’ve played it before 2020, you may want to put those plans on ice. A new publication in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR) described how an indoor ice hockey game led to a Covid-19 coronavirus super-spreader event. There have also been other reports of outbreaks among ice hockey player including 18 members of the Yale men’s hockey team testing positive for the Covid-19 coronavirus over the past three days.
