I just wanted to post a personal tip. I don't know how much it helps, but the post office says that having your 9 digit zip code on mail can help speed up the process, so I have it listed with my address. If you do not know your 9 digit zip you can find it easily on the post office's website: http://zip4.usps.com/zip4/welcome.jsp

I have found if you are limited on Bubble mailers and really want a little more protection then a PWE for those lower-end deals a paper bag works perfect! Just like the one you put lunches in. They are awfully cheap (50/$1.00) and insure more safety than that of a PWE. Just slide the card (obviously in a toploader) into the flat part of the unopened bag (side without the fold) and make sure it goes all the way down. Then fold the bag over a few times until you can tape it shut! It provides a few layers of protection that are thicker than PWEs and its very cheap!! I hope that tip helps somebody out there!!!!!

There are alot of new mailers hitting the market, there is one very similar to what you wrote...
It's a Jiffy utility #000 and generally ships for $0.42-$0.59 in postage.

This was an outstanding post. I personally always send in bubble mailers. But I don't insist on people doing the same. But, I am one that loves to collect for the fun, and am not as completely concerned with the condition of cards for the most part. Some of my PC is not in the best of shape, but they are cards I love. So, that is what matters to me.

My two cents on mailing...

I had never even thought about this until I read it somewhere else on here, but you can also reuse bubble mailers. If they are in good shape, make sure to open them carefully, and then with some packing tape and an index card or two you can really repackage stuff in old mailers. I have been doing this lately, and it is a huge savings.
