DeAngelo dumped by Rangers
so what do we know
he got mad at not playing - first guy ever that reacted that way
he had an altercation with another player - that never happens
he said some stuff on twitter or faceplant that the woke in NY didnt agree with
Boom you're gone
they play up this conspiracy theory about Millers puck for his first goal - all a big lie.
just to put the kid in a bad light,
sounds kinda familiar doesnt it.
must be a trump supporter - a racist or a white supremacist
i am getting sick and tired of the way people are crapping on others
and dont tell me he hasnt always be an angel
nobody has been
and the definition for hate speech, and racism and slurs has changed dramatically over the past 4 years.
just so they can target and cancel you. and what about forgiveness and second chances for our young people.
Pat Kane, Joe Thornton, Jim Craig, Corey Perry, Sean Avery, Ted Green, Marty McSorely all these guys have not been perfect, yet the media loves them .. okay maybe not Avery.
but if the media doesnt approve of you or in this case a players politics - well then they ride you and the teams front office and the gutless weaklings (GMs Presidents) cave and you are done.
hopefully he finds another place to play
and realizes the way the world is nowadays and is able to adjust.
but i bet the media follows his every move, waiting for a chance to cancel his a**
always wondered why nobody ever goes back thru news reporters and anchors past actions, words and lies
and doesnt call them for what they are - imperfect like all of us.

So over the course of his young career, he has:
Made racist comments to others
Made homophobic comments to others
Been suspended for abuse of an official in junior
Been suspended for abuse of an official in the NHL
Made light of Covid
Been very vocal in his support of Trump
Got into an altercation with a teammate
Seems like a real classy fellow, it's a shame he's being booted from the team just because of some conspiracy to get rid of him by changing the definition of hate speech, whatever that means lol

Nobody knows the full extent of what happened in the locker room, the team is doing what they feel is best for this team. If you had an altercation with somebody at work, do you think you wouldn't be fired if you instigated it?

this is the one that got him banned
Been very vocal in his support of Trump
all the others have been very commonplace in the life of young people
i am not saying its okay to make racist remarks but c'mon man if you are white today you are a racist
and what about all those college kids going for spring break - isnt that making light of covid
also abuse of an official has been expanded over the years as well
now swearing at a ref and calling him a name is abuse
it was the Trump support that made this happen. the haters want him cancelled and the owners are so feeble to stand up to them.
look at your NFL Buffalo Bills who didnt come out for the national anthem.
makes you glad they got pounded. the owner should be fined $1,000,000 for that
but it wont happen - that is abuse and racism and making light

The point I was making is that you've got 7 red flags there, enough for any team to want to get rid of you. If someone does one of those things, sure, you might be able to forgive them. Once you see a pattern of behaviour that's not changing, you eventually decide to cut your losses and get the guy out. Chances are, the players didn't like him much either if they were so willing to take a swing at him.
This is not an example of "haters" and cancel culture. This is an example of people no longer wanting to deal with a guy who has proven to be a bit of an ™™™, and the team has every right to get rid of him if he is regularly making them look bad.
Also, if you think being white today is what makes people think you are racist, then I'm afraid you still just don't understand.

None of us are in the NYR locker room, so we don't really know the truth.
I've been reading Brian Burke's book recently, and a particular story comes to mind.
The #1 goalie was hurt (don't recall who it was, looking at the stats - must have been Garth Snow) and Kevin Weeks was in net. They had called up a kid on an emergency basis, Alfie Michaud.
Weeks, I guess, wasn't having a great game - but they were not going to put the kid in. He wasn't ready for it, it wasn't right. Weeks then (allegedly) faked a knee injury, to get out of the game.... and the kid had to play. He was in way over his head, and it showed.
After the game, Weeks' knee was fine. Refused treatment, MRI, etc.
According to Burke, Messier walked into his office.... only half dressed (this happened RIGHT after the game) and told him that either Weeks gets traded, or he'll knock him out. Weeks was sent home, and traded to the Islanders quickly.
Why do I bring this up... because if there's any truth to the altercation between him & Grogoriev & Krieder..... it's very likely that the dressing room is so done with the guy, that the players all want him gone.
If you have a player who is hated by his teammates, you don't have much of a choice. You can keep him, but you're likely to lose the rest of the room.

i dont know where you have been, but look around at your news channels in the states.
and as for this - burkie has been known to be a great story teller i dont know if it happened

the point i am trying to make is that you cant get away with anything today.
but the hawks kept patrick kane and he has been known to "act up".
not comparing the two ability wise - just saying its not always "the rooms" decision. i hear he was unpopular for a while after a couple incidents that made the team look bad.
and it is not uncommon for teammates to hate each other or fight during practice.
thats when coaching/leadership takes over and men teach young players , maybe the rangers dont have that now that lundqvist is gone

What has society come to?
A 25 year old man isn't allowed to "act up" every so often anymore. Even throw the occasional tantrum! You mean he is actually expected to act like a respectful, mature, professional adult? Isn't that expecting a little much for a professional making 9 million? What a shame no one can be a dirt bag without consequences anymore.Bucket: Hidden Content
