Ebay listing - McDavid FWA

This looks like a reprint, listed as a Facsimile auto. Not much of a description. At $300 already. I am guessing someone is going to be surprised when they get this card.

How the hell is eBay allowing this to be sold?

Several people have been listing these, I was reporting all of them as fraudulent listings and ebay would pull them and the person would relist the next day. It got to the point where so many people were listing them or the same seller listing them with different accounts (all number 488) that I couldn't keep track anymore. At one point I even complained to upper deck about it and that ebay wasn't doing anything and their response was they were going to have their fraud team look into it and to send them more examples if they came up. The best I can say is look at the images to make sure that its not number 488 and look at the image of the back because the hologram is always missing on these.

I think the price it commands is showing that people think it is an original. I own several Gretzky TC counterfeits (really what an unlicensed reprint is) and the most i have paid is $1.50

Wherever there is money to be made there are scammers. It is too bad eBay isn’t organized to catch this stuff in a substantial way.

Yes, it matters. Counterfeits aren't allowed on Ebay. It doesn't matter if they say "reprint" in the title or description. Fake is fake and its against the rules.

if no one reports ebay doesnt actively remove. and these mcdavid reprints have been on ebay over last 2 years and have been going for good prices some do get taken down

I'm glad FWA's come with serial numbers because I'm curious to see the sales record for #'ed 488/999, I mean if the cards ever been sold before.
