Patriots signing so many free agents!
Can’t believe the Patriots are spending so much on free agents but I guess they figure it is the only way to be more competitive in the AFC for 2021! Crazy!

Have to enjoy a team that has cap space to go after a ton of free agents. Will be fun to see how they all pan out. As some teams are losing some key players to free agency. Going to be a big change for some teams.

These are all unofficial but New England tried to grab a lot of desirable free agents so far (such as the top TE options):
WR Nelson Agholor, 27 years old, $13M/yr
WR Kendrick Bourne, 25 years old, $7.5M/yr
TE Jonnu Smith, 25 years old, $12.5M/yr
TE Hunter Henry, 26 years old, $12.5M/yr
DL Henry Anderson, 29 years old, $5.5M/yr
DT Davon Godchaux, 26 years old, $8M/yr
OLB Matt Judon, 28 years old, $14M/yr
DB Jalen Mills, 26 years old, $6M/yr
Two quick thoughts:
1st, The Good...these players are generally in the prime of their career and all should be starters or close to it
2nd, The Bad...this is a ton of money to throw out for 8 players without any proof they will all gel and win together under Belichick’s “Patriot Way”...he should always be trusted to know what he’s doing but this will either be a genius off-season or seriously hamper the franchise
