Inception Lightning strikes twice / good and bad

Corny title but lightning does strike twice! Nine months ago my wife was driving our clunker car down the street and a guy coming the other way decided to turn in front of her. The left front fender totally ruined. After hassle getting the police report we were finally able to get the car repaired.

Fast forward to today and I take the same car to work as my wife needed our new car to take an elderly friend to Texas Motor Speedway to get her COVID shot. My wife is a saint and she does things like this for people alt the time. Okay I finish work and head home driving in the right hand lane of a three lane divided street in Dallas. Up comes a car in the middle lane and as we get near a side street that car in the middle land decides to turn right! I hit the brakes and the horn but NO luck! Left front of the car that had just been repaired is totally destroyed so we have to go through all the bells and junk to get the car repaired again and get this car that pulled in front of me was a rental. What a mess.

Okay that is the bad. The accident happened near the local card store I visit so I think what the heck, I just had a wreck making this a great start of the weekend! So I stop by the store and tell the above story. The owner's wife said I need to bust something to make up for the bad luck.

I buy a pack of Inception of the six sitting on the shelf and I get one of the autos of somebody only their momma would know who it is. The wife said "Well that is not good luck!@" I am going to open a new case for you and she did.

Wow! This kid played ball for Carlsbad High School in New Mexico and we lived there for 15 years. Both of my daughter's graduated from the same high school so this is just like getting a home town hero even though we moved from there in 2000 to Dallas.

That made me feel much better so why not try another pack.
