I don't think the blame can be placed on McDavid (or Draisaitl for that matter) at all. The team only made the playoffs because of them, and without those two the roster resembles an AHL roster. Maybe a little harsh, because Nurse, RNH, and Klefbom are pretty good, but realistically, I look at the roster and see a combination of youngsters and guys I didn't know were still in the league. The team is doing these guys a disservice by not surrounding them with decent second line players, and it will be a shame to see these guys continue to lose despite putting up monster seasons.

Drai and McDavid had 3 points each... are they supposed to stop the puck too? I just don't see how they are "choking" when the team just isn't very good

I'd say it's pretty clear, given the 3-0 series lead. Maybe they should just hand the President's Trophy winner the Cup every year if the regular season is more important.

Your comment was that McDavid does not seem to be a postseason player. He's a point per game playoff player, and the Oilers have lost 80% of the playoff games in which he's scored multiple points. Does he just magically become a postseason player once his team doesn't suck? He carried the team on his shoulders to the playoffs despite the fact they don't belong.

career wise Mcdavid has a very good record 21 games 11g, 11a , but a plus2, maybe they were pp goals
