some old cards
Hey guys
I'm an aussie that used to collect cards back in my younger days, my collection that i recently dug out of my closet range in age from about 1992 until about 1996. Amongst all this there is a range of big name cards such as shaq rookie cards a few old micheal jordan cards and the list goes on. I have a huge range of cards and brands.
My question is, are these cards worth much, they are all in mint condition and i was wondering if they are worth anything or am i worth holding onto them for a while longer.
Any help would be great,
Thanks

Cards from the early '90s are not worth much as a general rule because of overproduction (Finest is an exception as the first 'high end' set). Shaq rookies, however, are worth at least a few bucks - or more, depending on the brand. Jordan base cards too are usually worth at least a couple of bucks.

Yeah it's strange. The height of collecting was the late 80s and early 90s for all sports, and this period produced the least amount of value to the market...
You could always pick up a beckett basketball card plus and check out the value of your cards. That might be fun. Or demoralizing...
I kept what I wanted from that era and gave the rest away. It's more about the memories with those than anything...
