    Night and Day

My latest @hockeyBuzz blog as the Habs look nothing like the team that stumbled into the playoffs: https://www.hockeybuzz.com/blog.php?post_id=111866 Mon plus récent blog alors que le CH ne ressemble plus à l'équipe qui s'est presque traînée en séries. #GoHabsGo #CH #Canadiens #Habs #MarcBergevin

    What do you think happened?

It seems as though Montreal is using the neutral zone trap and coaches are absolutely flummoxed by it. You are certainly correct in saying it is boring hockey, but if it works, it works.

I agree that's it's boring hockey. It reminds me of the Devils in the dead puck era. Effective, but boring, but effective!

For the Habs, at the end of the day, its working. For those watching, it's not easy to watch.

I thought last night's game was better from an entertainment standpoint.

Wait until next round when you will have to play a good team like the Avs or Knights, you will be back to the same ole Habs, getting crushed!! Good luck lmao!! I will make sure you hear all about it too!!

Oh yeah we’ll all be so sad when you pick on our team IF it loses two whole rounds after your team. Spit out the sour grapes already and get over yourself. You sound like a 10 year old kid.

The Avs an their one line, and goalie that seems to have lost it? Or Vegas an their inconsistency all playoffs?

If Montreal finishes off Winnipeg (which I believe they will) I do expect them to lose to the winner of COL vs VEG. The idea that they're going to get crushed is a bit much though. If they keep playing boring, don't give up a ton of chances hockey.... and Price keeps doing what he's doing, they'll very much be in it vs either of those teams.

Montreal was supposed to get crushed by the Leafs. Then they were going to get pounded by the much bigger Jets. Neither happened.

The four best teams left (IMO) are COL, VEG, TB, and CAR. Two of them are going home this round. Montreal is the only one I would say is getting through the 2nd round for sure.... but I'd bet on COl, MTL, TB, and NYI to make it through at this point.

I'm not saying we should call the Habs cup contenders just yet.... but, well, if they're in the final 4, that's sorta what they are. Maybe the 4th "best" team of the group, and are only there because they're riding a hot goalie.... but it wouldn't be the first time that go a team 16 wins.

At the end of the day, the Habs are further int the playoffs than anyone expected. That's a win in my books. Sure, I want to see them go further, but if they lose next round, it was a fun run.
