Ebay bidder (non) L O G I C?
I put up an auction and there's 3X as many watchers as bidders, and it just got the first bid (20th altogether) in like 4 days... why do people risk A. forgettting, and B. having the opportunity to scare others (bottom feeders) off with early bids? E-bay ought to post Win % stats next to bidders...some of these guys must win about 1/1000 they bid on (or meant to bid on)... maybe it's like hunting and fishing- they sit around telling stories about the BIG ONE that got away. Only problem is, the fishermen and hunters are actually at the lake and in the woods with their poles and their guns...:new_all_c

you always harp on this, and i just dont get it....no offense....what is the harm in just watching an auction if you have no intention of bidding on it?? i put in that first bid to get your obscene BIN outta there, but its still on my watch list (anytime you place a bid, you are automatically a "watcher")....i just think its funny how this gets on your nerves so much....there is nothing wrong with watching an auction with NO INTENTION of bidding on it, especially an unusual auction like yours.

well, i know when you bid it is put on your watchlist....maybe removed when you get outbid....but anyway, explain your beef man!! you get worked up over nothing!! what is the harm in WATCHING AN AUCTION??

Nothing, but have you ever heard the flood of whiners after an auction closes... my dog knocked my plant over on my computer just as I was about to bid... I got out of work late... IF the high bidder doesn't pay sell to me... I'll give you $10 more than high bid? That's what actually gets me most- and I know anyone who's sold on there has heard some real doozies, including the incredibly weak, my computer froze as I was bidding and I clicked on the auction but it was over...

well with the use of sniper programs, the whole "bidding war" thing has gotten outta hand, but i dont even listen or respond to whiners....but when you catagorize ALL WATCHERS in the same catagory i feel that is unfair....i put 10 items a day on my watch list that i have no intention of bidding on...maybe its a card i have and want to see what it sells for, or maybe its just an interesting auction (like yours)....i personally dont have a probelm with people waiting to bid on my auctions till the end, and dont have any problem with watchers.
i recently sold a bunch of tickle me elmos and had tons of watchers, but not a single bid till the last 15 minutes....granted, there were about 5000 of them at auction, so mine wasn't easily visible, but still had 30 watchers before a single bid was placed....i have no problem with it.

First off let me say....Fighting over the internet is like running in the special olympics, even if you win you are still retarded. Besides that, I personally watch almost 25 items a day and might bid on one. A lot of the time i watch it to compare it to what I have. Other times I am trying to decide if I want it. I mean seriously when I sell something I only expect 1 out of ever 5 watchers to have intent on purchasing the item. Yesterday i had a bundle of video games on ebay that were ending with 42 watchers and i had 3 bids in the last hour. I think your view is that every time you watch something on ebay you intend on buying it and not all people are like that.
