Selling on Ebay, Facebook AND Instagram

So I've been selling on eBay steadily for almost a year now and looking to "expand" and sell on other platforms (and save on fees!). Anyone selling on multiple platforms? How do you guys manage your inventory, make sure a card isn't sold twice, that sort of thing? Big spreadsheet for tracking? Or maybe I am overthinking this?

I'm not on Instagram, but I've sold on multiple platforms (sites like SCF, Facebook, eBay). Lots of the same cards listed in the same place.

I have never had more than 50 eBay listings at any given time in years, so never a lot of inventory there.

If I posted a sale thread with 100 cards here, other forums, and in 3 or 4 Facebook groups at the same time - As I sell one, I try and update my thread in each place, removing the card. When someone asks to buy one of the cards - first thing I do is double check that it's still in my stack, and hasn't already been sent.

I sold on FB marketplace and eBay at the same time for awhile and I'd just remove the listing from eBay once I had a completed local sale. For Facebook and Instagram it's easier to make sure you have it before completing a sale as someone usually messages you first.

I've been posting cards on facebook marketplace, I actually posted some baseball earlier this summer and had a really good and fun experience doing it, but I'm in the states and hockey cards are nowhere near as popular as the other three major sports so I post on occasion and get inquiries every once in a while, it's usually someone looking for something I don't have tho, lol..

I should make an instragram account and try that.. But you know, staying up to date with all of it is difficult, cards can burn you out really fast, lol...

Im used to sell a bunch on ebay but was a small fry seller and I really didnt like the random set per dollar for fees sometimes a cheaper sold card ebay took more fees from final sale. Gave up this march started losing more and more per sale after some update to paypal and fees. I just listed some cards per avenue for a set time then moved to another and bring back again if past a set time again

Do you know if there's any tools out there to help centralize your inventory, like I would update at one place and direct all of FB, IG, SCF over there?

@mooneyes Pretty much post up cards and follow/like other collectors' posts and gain a following on there. Your posts will show what cards you have available, etc. You can also repost them occasionally to get the word out that you have certain cards available, prices, etc.

You can also connect with other collectors on there to see what they collect and maybe you have something they need. I've seen collectors on there write what they are looking for in their Instagram bio's and stuff like that. It takes time but that platform can be used to sell cards for sure.
