Fleury
Not ff to a very good start. Maybe the Knights knew what they were doing.

Not a very good start for the Blackhawks as a team, either. The goalie can only task so much blame.

Longtime participants in the SCF Fantasy Pool know that I've had MAF as my keeper goalie for many, many years. He's always been very reliable for me. This off-season I made the tough choice to drop him from my roster, not because I feel that he himself is diminished, but because I had an inkling he would be facing a lot more high-quality scoring chances due to Chicago's defence not being on the same level as Fleury enjoyed while in Vegas. I think he faced more "red zone" opportunities in the first ten minutes of Game #1 this season than he did at any point last season. Yeah, the personal numbers don't look great, and yeah a couple of those goals were on the ugly side, but context matters. Sometimes sucking is a total team effort.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

The whole team must stink pretty bad for the Hawks fan's to start cheering for the Wings.
On the flipside a Lucas Raymond YG will be a nice hit when it comes out.

Want to hear something fun?
If you read my posts over the last bunch of years... I've felt Chicago has generally been a pretty over hyped team (I'm talking post-2015). I think they had great teams, that's obvious since they won three Cups... but there were a few years in there where I think many considered them a contender, and I don't believe from 2016 and onward, they really were.
The last couple of seasons, they were clearly rebuilding.
This season? TBH, I thought they had a shot at the playoffs. I still think they do (though they gotta start playing better quickly). It's not that I thin the 'Hawks are poised to be a dominant team - but I don't think their division is particularly strong. The Avs should win it, but after that? Dallas? St. Louis? Minnesota? Winnipeg? I'm assuming that most people have three of those four making the playoffs.... Dallas missed last year, and both STL and MIN barley got in.
The Hawks have a decent looking group of players. Fluey and Jones coming in, I thought, wouldn't make them Cup contenders... but at least legit playoff contenders.
If Carey Price can't go to the Olympics, I think there's a very good argument for MAF to be Canada's starting goalie, but not if he's playing like this. (Yes, it's not just him.... but results are still results)
