New to Forum

Hello everyone,
My name is Carlton, I live on Hilton Head Island now, and I collected cards in the late 1950s and throughout the 1960s, so you can see I am of vintage age myself. I have kept these cards pretty well protected in card sleeves since the 1980s after having them boxed in the interim. Just recently fully retired, I am getting a bit more time to look through my collections (I have over 1600 vinyl albums as well) to see just what I have and start enjoying them again. I have numerous doubles of cards, not all of even most are HOF players, and wonder if some of these would be better offered to people within the forum who may want these cards either individually or to fill out sets. I have just started inputting some cards in my Personal Inventory but admit this is a bit time consuming as well as somewhat confusing. I will work on that, but a question for the forum is how may I, it possible, best find matches for cards I may have available? Is there a way to globally search for wanted cards? Forgive my ignorance if there is a simple method, but some hints or shortcuts would be appreciated. Again, it is good to have the time to enjoy the old collections and find people of like minds. Thanks for any hints or suggestions.

Carlton- Welcome to SCF! The best place to post and look for people with vintage set needs is the Vintage card Forum. Many members have threads listing their set needs. Are your cards strictly baseball?

JFried, no I do have some football from late 50s and early 60s but was much more baseball oriented, especially after Braves moved to ATL.

@calsp3- You should probably check out the main football and baseball forums. You might want to post threads that indicate what years you have available.
