I didn't comment on the reason when Price first went into rehab and all the assumptions that it was just a mental health issue. Those of us who follow a team closely get to hear about all the addiction problems within those teams and I was not surprised in the slightest when he revealed he was treated for an addiction. Many of you know that I also follow the Senators closely and I recall watching the same addiction ruin the careers of several players, including a couple of players who could have had HOF careers. It also likely cost Ottawa at least one Stanley Cup. I also want to add that I am not prepared to forgive Price as quickly as some. Admitting it was actually an addiction is a start, but I believe his real motivation may have been getting it out of his bloodstream in time for the Olympics.

In case some of you think I know nothing about this addiction I also watched it ruin the life of a sibling.

I heard that Price was entering this program due to his substance addication a while back and I feel sorry for the guy. We are all human at the end of the day.

I wish him all the best as he continues to take steps towards recovery.

Maybe he'll be back by all=star break. Possibly not at all.

Self medicating with alcohol is a bad deal and ruins many folks and families.
Good for him for getting help.
Hockey is nothing compared to taking care of his health now and for the long term.
