Steve Largent, James Lofton & Ozzie Newsome RC's FS (HOF'ers)
I went to a yard sale today and bought a bunch of 70's & 80's baseball, basketball, & football cards. After just a quick look through I found these 2 rc's and wanted to get them posted and I'll add more as I go through the cards.
I'm only looking to sell right now and I'm only accepting concealed cash or paypal (non credit card) and I actually prefer paypal. I'm looking for the best offer on each card.
The Largent books for $40 but it has soft to slightly worn corners, a couple slight chips on the edges and there is a light surface crease on the front which runs diagonally from the bottom, just left of the chin strap up just left of his right eye. The crease is hard to see in the scan. The corners are better than they look in the scan.
The Lofton books for $12 but has soft corners and the edges aren't real sharp.
The Newsome books for $12 but has soft corners, the bottom right is the worst.
Let the offers begin.

Well Rick if you bought them cheap and then find two decent cards that is always a plus. Everytime I buy any at a yardsale I can't find anything.

Yeah, I agree Jim. The sale started at 8:00 a.m. and we didn't get there until about 8:45 a.m. (had to take my son to school at 8:20) and the guy said that someone else was just there and bought two of the plastic shoe boxes of 1976 & 1977 Topps Baseball. I bought everything else he had. I got 11 other plastic shoe boxes, but not filled. I've been looking for a 1977 Topps Vince Papale and when I saw there were 1977 Topps Football in one of the boxes I grabbed a stack and saw these two cards. I then looked at eveything else and saw baseball from some scattered 1960's, 1970-75, 1978-84, 1986, 1987, football from 1976-1983 and basketball from 1977-78, 1978-79, & 1979-80 so I asked him what he'd want for the entire lot because he was selling $0.05 each or 24 for $1. The cards do mostly have soft or slightly dinged corners but I figured what the hell and took them even though I knew there would be a ton of commons. I hope that some people might want some team lots or might be looking to complete some old sets. I just need to get the cards all organized in in order before I get anything like that done. There are also quite a few cards that I'm going to be sending out for ttm autograph requests since I like to concentrate on retired players.
