#MVP Monday: Jeremy Walker

It’s everyone’s favorite day of the week, MVP Monday! We hope you had a good weekend and are gearing up for the Holidays. We are excited to highlight our MVP this week, Jeremy Walker, one of our Premier Sales Representatives.
Jeremy began working for our company back in July of 2020 in his current role as a Premier Sales Rep. Anyone that orders from us often knows how helpful having a sales rep really is, and Jeremy is one of the best! Before DA, Jeremy spent 10 years with Advanced Auto and worked as their warehouse manager. The warehouse he managed was responsible for the Supply Chain distribution to over 85 Stores in WNY and Northern PA. We sat down with Jeremy to learn more about him and what he does here.
What attracted you to work for DA/HP?
Jeremy: “ The reputation of the company. I had heard amazing things about the work environment, leadership and culture offered here.”
What are your interests outside of work?
Jeremy: “Outside of work I enjoy traveling, attending sporting events. I have season tickets for the Buffalo Bills and Shea’s Theatre.”
Since our headquarters is located in Buffalo our office is made up of majorly Bills Fans. There are a few outliers that root for different teams, and we feel bad for them, but we don’t hold any hard feelings.
–What inspires you to be the best at your job?
Jeremy : “Offering the best customer experience I can. I want each customer to feel like they are valued and appreciated. I also strive to do my best in hopes of not letting anyone on my team down. Overall I hope to come in and do my best to be responsive, accessible, and offer all that I can.”
Do you have any hobbies?
Jeremy: “My hobbies are basically the same as my interests outside of work. I’m an avid sports fan. I love attending football, hockey, and basketball games.”
What’s your favorite product that we sell?
Jeremy: “Personally my favorite product would be the Hit Parade Products. It’s a great product and I love seeing all the Hits pulled by our customers.”
We also love the Hit Parade products we sell here. There are huge variety of products varying from sports, to gaming to entertainment. You name it…Hit Parade probably has a product for it.
What’s an interesting fact about you?
Jeremy: “I have been involved with a community outreach program for the past three years. The program works to raise money to support the Special Olympics of New York. In the three years of participating, I’ve been able to personally raise close to $10K through donations to help support the program.”
Do you have any collections of your own?
Jeremy: “I collect sports memorabilia. My collection consists mainly of autographed football helmets and basketballs. It’s currently highlighted by Josh Allen, Justin Herbert, Luka Doncic and Steph Curry”
That’s a star studded collection if you ask me! Autographed football helmets are some of the coolest pieces of memorabilia you could own. The different styles, colors and teams really make for a fun collection.
What has been your biggest challenge here, and what did you do to solve it on your own?
Jeremy: “The biggest challenge has been learning a whole new industry, and a completely different role than I have ever done. I have worked hard to learn as much as I can and never being afraid to ask questions to further my knowledge. Being willing to listen and absorb information being offered goes a long way to further your personal development. I am lucky to have a great team help me along and help learn the ins and outs that go into the job.”
