    fb retail boxes

I see at my local walmart these sealed small boxes of football cards (topps chrome, etc.) that sell for $20 with like 6 packs. Are the odds of pulling a gu/auto better in these since they are sealed and can't be searched? thinking of picking a few of these up but wanted to ask here before I do.

compared to what?? the stated odds on those boxes are much worse than a hobby box if that is what you are asking.

yeah I meant compared to hobby. I didn't make that clear. Just itching to pull some sort of mojo and was curious if these were worth a shot.

Those packs are not really factory sealed. Or at least not sealed by the factory that originally made them. I used to buy them since they were cheap and I was simply wanting older base cards. That was until I opened a pack of 2001 Fleer football cards and found 1991 Topps baseball cards. Of course, you don't actually get ripped off. There is usually one or two cards that will be worth the cost of the box. Unlike the Treasures set that will cost $20 for two graded cards that will be worth $0.50 each.

If you buy a sealed retail box, your chances of a hit are much better because of the lack of pack searchers. I bought a $9.99 box of Leaf R&S yesterday and pulled a Michael Huff ball #/175....my last Topps Chrome blaster got me a Chad Jackson auto.....I've definately heard about amazing things being pulled out of retail, but the odds are pretty low.

I actually bought a box of chrome last night from walmart and pulled a addai auto. Purchesed a hobby when they first came out and got a willie ried auto that was guaranteed, and the rest of the box was crap too. Ive seen a lot of decent pulls out of the chrome blasters. Ive bought a few other blasters and got nothing to show for it. It is difficult to get some mojo.
