Hi From Bellevue, NE
Hi. I'm Bernie and I'm new on the boards. I just started getting back into card collecting, although this time my focus is on hockey cards. Previously, it was on Jim Abbott (MLB) and any players that played football for the Cornhuskers (mostly NFL). I still have what I've collected from those, but I'm taking better care with what I've been collecting recently. I'm primarily zeroed in on Penguins and former UNO Mavericks hockey players.
I'm a 40-something dad of two boys and I love hockey, again the Pittsburgh Penguins and UNO Mavericks (D-1 college).
Other hobbies include reading mysteries and thrillers, playing on the Xbox, and slightly dabbling in collecting Funko POPs.

I'm not sure if I'd call myself a fan these days. I grew up with their futility in the '80s and finally saw them reach the pinnacle in the mid-90s (three championships in 4 years, and a wide FG which would've made it 4 in 5 years). Then I saw the collapse in the early 2000s when they fired Solich. Their inability to stop shooting themselves in the foot game after game for nearly the last 20 years has been bad. I'm not even sure if Frost's the guy anymore.

Thanks for the welcome. Currently, most of my hockey collection is newer cards, individually picked up singles, or former UNO players (Dan Ellis, Jeff Hoggan, Jake Guentzel, and Bill Thomas are probably my largest ones). I am in the process of inputting my collection, and I'll include everything that doesn't fall under UNO/Penguins in case there's something out there for someone.
