Does anyone...
else care about card #'s?
I've never paid too much attention but recently after sorting through my collection I found a few cool ones.
Bergeron Exclusives #100/100
Ovechkin quad jersey #25/25
SPGU Arnott #25/25 not a popular player but cool looking card
I also noticed a Certified Ovechkin is # 001/199 and just traded for an Ovy jersey card #8/99.
Normally don't care much for jersey cards but since it was jersey #'d I suddenly really wanted it. It's a 1/1! lol
Now I just found 2 auto cards from the same set, both #, 45/99. What are the odds?
Answer: Who cares! Well, unless someone's favorite number is 45 and they wanted a complete set of matching #'s...
Ok I'm done. It's almost spring...

I am a huge fan of first numbered cards like 001/100... I have many in my collection. I have even picked up cards that I would normally overlook, just because they were 01/ cards.

I've got a few 31/xxx Carey cards. I know there's a Habs collector who tries to get 24/xxx for everything he can. I suppose he's probably slightly happy (only in that respect) the Habs didn't win the Cup last year, he'd have to start a whole new PC.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Yeah, some people do. Me? Yes... but not that much.
I have always been willing to pay a small premium for 001/XXX, XXX/XXX, or 030/XXX (Ranford's jersey number) - but emphasis on "small".

When I was collecting Vincent Lecavalier, I'd pick up cards 4/XXX even if I had another copy already. I thought it was pretty neat. I paid a bit of a premium for them, especially when he was hot in the mid-00's. I have a few that are 1/XXX or XXX/XXX, but I didn't chase down those ones as much.

I agree with 30ranfordfan on the small premium for 33/xxx in my Roy PC. I won't go crazy to have the jersey numbered version, which is why I only have 3 or 4 in my PC. 1/xxx or the final one in the sequence does nothing for me.

If I can get them at a fair price point, why not, I'll go after a jersey numbered card (# 1) for the PC. I've also just added a last print 100/100 card too. So it depends, but I don't need them in the PC so I won't pay a premium price for them. Some people do and that's okay.
