Most Underrated Player So Far This Season

If I had to cast a vote for the most underrated or underappreciated player in the league to this point in the 2021-22 NHL season, it would unquestionably go to NJ Devils forward Jesper Bratt. I'm sure there are other good candidates out there, but he's got my vote. For the success he's had and the numbers he's put up, I don't see nearly enough attention being paid to him, not in reality, not in fantasy, and not in the hobby. There should be more noise, IMHO!

Definitely a great season for Bratt. On the slightly obvious but still underappreciated side, I'd say Timo Meier.

For lesser-known and appreciated guys, I'd say Mason Marchment and Tage Thompson are both having great seasons

Robert Thomas.
Underrated, under appreciated, under everything. The guy is having a beast of a season - and his playmaking abilities? I mean, wow. He elevates whoever he plays with.

Since the Calendar turned over to 2022, Mason Marchment has 18 points in 13 games, including a 6-point effort on Jan.31st, and a hat trick last week against a good Minnesota Wild team. As a Sens fan, his success should give you ample ammo against Leaf fans, who had to watch the team trade him due to a lack of interest or foresight for 8 pointless games of Denis Malgin!

Trevor Zegras, nobody knew who was and now he's leading all rookies in scoring in the NHL, when beckett comes out, he'll probably book at 15-30.00 and the sad thing is Caufield will most likely book at 80-100.00.
