Revisiting some of my PCs which I have let fall by the wayside and my chagrin at the glut of 1/1s came back all too quickly. One of my PCs is Evgeny Artyukhin. Most would say he was a pair of fists on skates, but I started collecting his cards. Went to the SCF Inventory to update my checklists and notice that Artyukhin has 135 cards listed, of which, 59 are 1/1s.

44% of his cards are 1/1! I like a challenge, but I think this asking too much...

When I first decided to collect Bobby Ryan I chased all his 1/1's that were financially reasonable.... at one point I had 35. He now has 420 and I now have 8 just not doable for me.

Yep, it's like that with almost every player these days. The proliferation of printing plates, endless 1/1 parallel variants, etc. It's impossible to keep up whether you're collecting a high-end guy or a pair of fists on skates. It could be worse for us, at least we're not collecting basketball where Panini is absolutely pumping out parallels like they're going out of style. I don't remember the set, but a buddy was telling me that one of the recent releases had 41 parallels. That's madness, especially given the market inflation on a box of anything basketball these days.

I've seen a few guys on Facebook cover a whole wall with just parallels from one set for their football team's players. I think it was Mosaic, something like 30 parallels.

Could be a fun chase I suppose, if your loaded, and have OCD.

Actually may have been Prizm as they have like 40 parallels. I can imagine some guy trying to fill every space on his wall until he is 90 yrs old! Just need that one per case purple slime snakeskin refractor. lol

Thing is if your guys not a big name you can pick some up very reasonable. Of course there are those folks who would hoard those players and put them in their ebay store like they are stocking the shelves with golden goose eggs. Have a Happy Easter.
