    Let's get some trades going.

My wants are in my signature. I also collect starting QB RC's from 2016-now from all other teams. I DO NOT WANT RC's of Darnold, Garoppolo, Tannehill, Cousins, Bridgewater, Wentz, Goff, or Cam Newton. I'm not looking for any base cards, unless they are RCs. I've added a few cards to my Flickr, since my last post.

After almost 300 views, and only one trade, I have a few things to say. I'm not asking for the moon, so why is it so difficult to get a trade done on here anymore? I'm not going to trade $5+ cards for base cards. I never have, and I never will. Trades on here used to be fair for both parties, but it now appears that some only want to trade if they can come out with a better card(s) than what they gave up. Why is that? I know some of you will say that I shouldn't put this in the trade thread, but it's the only place anyone will pay attention to it. I've tried to post questions like this in Chit-Chat before, and I get no responses. I have traded off a lot of higher value cards on here before, and most of the time I've gotten similarly valued cards back in return. On a few occasions I've ended up trading down. In other words I traded a $400-$500 single card for 3-4 cards of lower value, and I was fine with it, because I got some cards that I really wanted.

My first 170+ trades on this site happened fairly fast. I could start a thread, and within minutes I had 4-6 responses. Now it's post a thread, and wait 4-6 days for one response. If I send you a PM, or reply in a thread to you, I expect a response within 24 hours, not 5-7 days later. It appears that some no longer have any common courtesy anymore. I feel like if you can't check in daily, then you have no business starting a trade thread, or replying on a trade thread belonging to someone else. I'm easy to deal with, just as long as you keep things within reason. No, I'm not going to trade a $50 Joe Burrow rookie for a bunch of base cards, or $5 cards.

I have 900+ cards for trade in my Flickr account. None of them are base cards, unless they are a numbered base card. Most are rookie cards, rookie autos, rookie jerseys, rookie jersey autos, rookie inserts, rookie parallels, rookie numbered, vet numbered, vet inserts, vet jerseys, vet inserts, and a few vet autos. You should be able to find something you like in there.

I started collecting back in 1991. I quit in 2011, because of having to retire, because of health reasons. I got back into it in 2020, but I rarely buy packs/boxes anymore, because of the extremely high prices, so everything I have from 2012 up until now with the exception of a few cards, have been purchased as singles. I've always been a Cowboys fan, so that's who I collect mainly, along with QB rookie cards from all teams. Except there are certain QB rookie cards I don't collect, and for good reason. I'd love to make more trades, but if it's going to be like pulling teeth without anesthetic, then I'm not interested. I enjoy trading people cards I don't collect, for cards I do collect. I have given up many cards in trades that I wish I wouldn't have, but hindsight is 20/20. One thing I can say with certainty is this. This hobby is exactly like gambling. You pay/trade for singles, or boxes, or packs with the hopes of hitting something big, but the odds aren't in our favor, and there are no guarantees that you will get out of something what you put into it. If you are buying packs, and/or boxes then 90+% of the time you're going to lose money. I've rambled on long enough, but if you have some cards you think I might like, not base cards, then hit me up. If I made you mad, because of some of the things I said, then so be it. I've been in the hobby for 31 years now, and I've saw all kinds of things, and many I didn't like, but I kept it to myself, if it didn't involve me. I don't beat around the bush, or sugar coat things, as that's never been my nature. I'm not going to stick around here much longer, if things continue to go the way they have been, since I came back, because it's not enjoyable to me. I've got other things I enjoy doing, so maybe it's time for me to just hang it up, and call it quits. I'll stick around long enough to finish the last trade I made, and then I'll decide what to do.

nice read, very similar to the way it goes with me, I to have the same difficulty when trading, I usually go with Beckett BV, not sale value, I feel some of the sale value cards are way over priced, then again Beckett BV is under priced in some instants, I collect RC RB's, Rare Raiders , I like for Older Team sets of oilers and Titans Numbered or Parallels, Crown Royal and CE, Currently I am Looking for Numbered Titan Parallels like Prizm Prizms number under a 100 or less, reds purple Green ect, I will Always look to up grade any Blanda I have, I also am very fond of Vintage RB's, I dont purchase many box's or packs , I usually just buy what I like or buy stuff to trade when i can make a deal, my flicker contains scans of a complete set of 1998 Finest Refractors with the peel still on them, I get a charge from others when they tell me how much the set is worth when there is only one completed and I own it, Ultimately all of my cards and collections are for trade or sale, heres a link to my current list ive been updating, again i have thousands of cards, so the list is never really complete, Autos game jerseys , stuff like that i can take-um or leave-um.
