Need help with pricing
I have come into possession of basketball cards of varying years and brands. I'm not a basketball card guy (I collect football), so I wanted to ask any basketball people: what should I look for in these cards? What denotes one as valuable? I know big names enough to know, okay, this LeBron card is worth more than this Cody Martin one. I just need to know how to tell which ones are valuable and which aren't.

I think you can transfer everything you know about football card and transfer it over to basketball. Parallels, short prints, and like you said the names. Anything that looks different take time to look up and compare to find how much the were inserted etc. So you can tell if you hit a rare parallel or a one that drops 1 per pack versus a case hit. Best of luck as I do not collect basketball either but I do pick up quite a few at shows form time to time.

If you can just name some of the brands and years. That will help you immensely in determining if you will have a shot at a very valuable card or not.
