Garrett Wolfe, the nations leading rusher, was not invited to the Heisman Trophy Presentation. But thats not the travesty. He wasn't even a finalist (top three) for the Doak Walker award, given out to the nations best running back. Now I know he goes to the small school of Northern Illinois University, but they still played good teams this year. They played Ohio State and lost, but he had 171 rushing and 100++ yards recieving, thats miraculous, that just makes it even harder to do coming from such a small school.

Also, Michael Turner went to NIU, and now he is the leagues best backup running back behind LT for the chargers. So small schools do produce talent. So how does a guy like garrett wolfe, at 5'7 and less than 180 pounds get passed up for both of these awards?? He was the fastest running back in history to reach over 1100 yards in 5 games!! He's 11th on the all time NCAA rushing list!! Only 43 yards behind 10th. Call your Senators, a travesty has occured.
