I haven't been paying attention...why did Campbell not resign with the Leaf"s? Doesn't seem like Matt Murray is an upgrade.

Murray is only signed for two more years ... Campbell wanted five years which the Leafs were not willing to entertain. I thought that Campbell did a decent job in TO. Hopefully he remains healthy in Edmonton and gives them some stability.

The Evander Kane signing for Edmonton was gold. They are getting 4 years for just over 5 mil, that's a steal for Edmonton.
I think that Kane knew he had limited suitors given his reputation and he also probably wanted to stay somewhere where he had a chance of winning. Best part for the Oil is that they are only paying him until he hits 34 so it's not like they are going to be overextending him on term.
