Trades...how they impact card prices
How will some of the recent trades impact card prices?
Especially of prospects, I am was thinking about when they announced Gio Gonzalez was part of the philly/WS deal.
I think he had a much better shot to play in philly. White Sox have a lot of starters.
Thoughts?
Other traded guys that you think will benefit or hurt?

Honestly, until there re-rated in Baseball Americas Ranking, or until they hit spring training (Cactus League) and make the team (And play mind you), I dont think it will affect it much.
Obviously getting traded to a more well know team, I.E. Yankees, Red Sox, yada yada, I think the player gets more publicity which will raise the cards bv.

I agree
Especially the well known team part. Gio has better long term potential because of being inthe windy city. But short term, he will have a harder time getting there.
I am not a Gio fan or collector, I just have a few of his good cards.
Humberto Sanchez to the Yanks for Sheff. Similar but slightly different.
I think he can gain more notariety in NY. But also a greater shot of getting traded to fill a need.
