What are the worst inserts sets ever?

I'm probably not the first to say this, but Upper Deck Series 1 the past few years has come up with some of the worst inserts sets that you could imagine. FreeStyles? Electro-magnetic? Hundo-P??

It got me thinking, what are the worst hockey inserts sets of all time? I'd be interested to hear what other collectors think are their picks for worst inserts sets of all time, or at least which sets should be i the running.

I'll nominate Hundo-P as the front-runner for that honour!

I don't know about ever, but I was disappointed in the new Skybox metal inserts. The cheddar (?), Big man on ice and the guitar "pick" shaped ones . Not a fan of weird shapes and sets that sound like they took a slang phrase and ran with it. The series one inserts above are pretty much the same issue with me. Can't wait to see more disappointments that I forgot.

I saw a couple of those boxes opened. Those cheese die-cuts look awful! That might work as a Green Bay packers insert set, since their fans are referred to as cheese-heads. But as a hockey insert set it just doesn't work.

IDK, but I really did not like the 2009 Collector's Choice Warriors of Ice... Just very cheesy.

Those were awful too. At least it was only a 6 card insert set.

Great thread topic. Agree with all the ones posted so far. I think Cheddar takes the cake. Ooops maybe I just gave UD an idea for another horrible insert. The thing that gets me about Cheddar is that US has had a lot of difficulty getting corners to be sharp over the last few years, and someone comes up with the die-cut insert that has a ton of corners. Well time to hit the binders and see if I can add any nominations...

Freestyle was decent, but HundoP and some years of the Portraits (19-20?) were pretty bad. Cheddar from metal are ugly too.

The problem with the Cheddar inserts is I'm pretty sure that's Swiss cheese, not cheddar.
