Cardboard recycling
Hello boys and girls!
As I am sorting my cards I found that there are a few which has to be taken behind the barn, even if there is a well known name written over that hockey players picture on that piece of cardboard. So I started to wonder how are you dealing with that ever-growing stacks upon stacks of base and insert cards. Well cards with some wear and tear should be obvious, but are you keen of keeping those 10 year old base cards and inserts? Or are you waiting for that moment in your life when someone shows up and makes an interest in them?
Sure I have heard some stories before but you're welcome to share. Does collectible hockey player cardboard picture recycling is a taboo for you?
P.S. Y'all have to recycle! Please don't throw paper or cardboard into trash bins but put them in a specialized bin or whatever it's called.

I'm in Canada. Every Halloween, I'm packaging base cards to give to childrens. For the inserts and the higher-end base cards, I have several boxes full of them. I move a few here and there in trades/sales.

I still hang on to my base. Amazingly sometimes someone comes along, and is putting particular base sets together, is like me a anything and everything collector of my players, or wants to build team sets. There are still collector's of base. Not many, but I do try to keep some on hand. Just check out my inventory. lots to be had.

My wife and daughter are teachers. I send the singles, commons, even binders full of commons to school with them and the kids go nuts for the cards.
Some of the teachers even take some cards home for themselves or their own kids.
Is pretty cool to hear that cards are still a hit regardless of who the players are, or what teams. Sometimes it can just be the shiny card that makes it fun.
