I don’t understand why these teams keep putting him behind the plate. Not only can he not catch the ball, he’s a miserable framer. Just look at what trevino and higashioka do. They get pitchers strikes. Sanchez should have been a full-time DH the moment he started to falter. They should have traded him as a 30-hr all star early on, but instead Cashman greedily held onto him, tortured him, and let countless opportunities for NYY to win games slip through the cracks over the years. Why haven’t any other teams learned from NYY’s mistakes? It’s nuts.
