22/23 UD2 Hockey
Looked at a couple of peoples breaks for UD2 this year. Not really impressed with it for the price. The difference is buying a box in Canada and the USA is out to lunch CDN wise. I actually think I will wait and buy some of the Tim Hortons packs when they come out shortly.
Just my opinion on the set though.

You're right, hobby sucks. Buying tins in my opinion is the best value out of all 7 aeries 1+ 2 product variations

Adding Extended (Series 3 really) has severely watered down the Young Guns. Somewhat telling that one of the better Young Guns in Series 2 this year is a Young Gun of a mascot.

Yeah, I do like YG's but spreading them out into 3 releases isn't cool. Nothing like pulling a YG of a 30 year old AHL veteran with 1 NHL game. lol For hobby boxes I'm more inclined to break Platinum or even Allure.

Interested in anything hockey, any team, mostly less common rookie cards and anything with a Team Canada jersey.

Some good hits to be had in Series 2, I think the YG checklist is (overall) better than S1 -- will be interesting to see what rookies have been held out for Extended.
Birthday tomorrow so I'm hoping to crack a box and get one or more of those Habs rookies!
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

If they are including a mascot as a YG in series 2, imagine how bad the names in the Extended YG set will be.Tradelist/wantlist: Hidden Content

I spoke to soon, did a series 2 hobby box break yesterday, and hit a clear cut YG!
Grant Hutton. A 28 year old AHL D-man. 1 career NHL game. :(
Oh well, can't win em all.

That's why I wait until the retail boxes come out. For about $50 a box less, I can do without the hobby-exclusive hits that aren't really hits.

I'm passing on UD2 hobby. I will wait for great deals on UD2 24 packs retail boxes if the YGs are in decent condition in them, or simply buy a Xhekaj YG during the summer and be done with the product.
