Should mlb help topps for an idea in 2025 heritage

    Greetings:
I hate to give MLB an idea that Topps if they could do it would be an interesting card featured in their 2025 Heritage set which would if things continue to be like the previous Heritage sets. Those who follow the Heritage line the 2025 set would be like the 1976 set the concept that I hate to give is Topps should offer a card similar to the 1976 #564 Kurt Bevacqua Bubble Gum Blowing Champ card. You have 30 teams you could do the contest during next season as this contest would conclude during the All-Star Game. The bracket format would take place during the first 3 months of the season there you have in April all the teams in the East Division in both leagues take on 1 another after finding the winner of the team competition during Spring Training the winner of those 10 teams moves on to the final during the All-Star Game & you have the finals the same day as the Home Run Derby prior to the Derby if you want to televise it then in May you have the Central teams & finally in June the West Division. Once the ultimate winner is revealed then you feature them on the card as the same as the fabled Bevacqua card & the back much like the original showing the brackets & how the winner came to be. Anyway it is just a crazy thought that I thought I would share with you fellow collectors. So my question for you is would that be an interesting card you would like to see again or not I look forward to hearing from you on the idea I hate to give to MLB to help Topps out. Please let me know if you are for it or against & your reasoning behind your vote.

While I would love for that to happen I fear Topps Heritage might not make it that far. The general consensus before was that Topps Heritage collectors would basically want the set to end it run after the 1975 Topps set. That would be next year. The brand isn't doing to hot and just basically pooped the bed after Fanatics sunk their teeth into it. Fanatics has also "paused" so many lower brands that I fear Topps Heritage is next after the poor performance. And make no mistake about it. When they pause production for these brands and put them on hold they aren't bringing them back and if they do they will high endify them.

I would be interested in it. But I'm not really in the age demo they are supposedly looking for. I mean do people even chew gum anymore? Seems like that is something that is a thing of the past.

I find the heritage, archives, and topps 35th anniversary insert sets to be redundant and kinda annoying. Archives seems to overlap with both often. Agree with pwaldo that bubble gum might be a thing of the past, the only thing you see players chewing on in the dugout is tobacco and it’s pretty rare.
Yankees + Todd Greene collector. There are tens of thousands of Yankees I need. My grail card is a 2005 Topps Pristine Fielder's Choice Glove Relics #TG Todd Greene.

It would be cool if today's players could recreate iconic card poses of the players they admired as kids.
also limited prints of cards the players themselves created.
