Deadline Odds say Belli Stays in Chicago
Just seems like a good fit Belli's seemingly back on track and the team has the pieces to make a Crapshoot as Cashman says. Just don't see a guy leaving where they've appeared to fix his Mojo gotta believe he extends 7+ years with the Cubs.

He's 28 a solid piece offensively and defensively who's getting back into MVP form a seven year deal puts Belli hitting FA at 35 or so. Scott Boris wants to extend and the Cubs click with Belli who's a clubhouse guy. Cubs hit the lottery last FA. I think the Cubs took a one year bargain chance for long-term possibilities and I believe they like what they see.
He's going to cost a boatload of prospects in return for those two months with no assurance of extending with the traded team. Only the Yankees could be that desperate feeling the heat of the fans. Cubs farm system ranks 12th but the top OF Prospects are a ways away. Odds of extending Belli before the deadline are 2:1Last edited by CardboardCurrency; 07-27-2023 at 01:38 PM.

Doesn't seem like many people are being trading this year. Been a pretty slow trade deadline so far

Has been hoping the Yankees can pick up Burger while the value is low. A lot of the big names don't have a lot of team control left that won't drain their farm systems for two months of hope.
