Bandwagoners are CRAZY!
What's going on lately is just ruining the hobby. Tony Romo, now Vince Young, or anyone else you can think of. After being a Bears fan my whole 15 years of life, it's been a little rough I guess (not as bad as some though) because our QBs always suck. Now Grossman is here. When he did the first 5 games I remember a bunch of people saying how great Grossman was and I saw his cards skyrocket. Not once he was struggling however. After yestersay's Monday Night Football game, with Hester getting 2 TD returns and breaking Ken Houston's record, his cards are skyrocketing. I guess I should have picked up an auto of his a little bit ago, because there's none going to end under 20 on eBay. Now I saw a couple posts here and on other sites where all of a sudden are able to sell Hester cards, ROOKIE cards at that (not necessarily autos), for $20+. If I tried to get Hester's chrome rc for example at the beginning of the season, I could have easily picked it up for a buck or two (depending on person). Now I won't be able to. Just don't like how this stuff goes :(.

That is sometimes what is good and what is bad about the hobby...why wait and get a hester Rc now? should have picked one up earlier one since you are a Bears fan....I am a collector and a seller.....when players get hot, that is the best time to sell....what is wrong with making money off of your cards?

Ah, the frustrated collector/member/trader.
Truly I feel ya. Explain how a rookie can have an auto numbered to 1499 and valued at $150+ while a HOFer can have an auto numbered at 85 be only valued at $40-80.
As to your original statement, Bandwagonners are crazy! I will leave you with this statement
If you have and you have been a collector for a while you know this is the nature of the beast. Not what you want to hear but it is the truth.
The real question is, "How far do you really think Da Bears are going with Grossman as the QB?"

cardlover2006 - Well i have a few of his RC (rookie debut, topps, topps chrome) but im just saying. i was trying to get an auto for a little but to no avail. yea there's nothing wrong with it but im just saying that being a fan of the team the "hot" player is on just sucks because then you have to pay what other people are, etc. Never meant that if you have a card you dont want and its hot right now you shouldnt sell, just saying that the people actually buying them BECAUSE theyre hot is wrong.
11chaos - yea HOF autos should be worth more than the up and coming guys, but thats just how it is i guess =/ . of course, the bears are going all the way
, and by then it will be impossible to get a bears auto at a reasonable price.

Two Words for you:
Dante Hall.
Don't worry, the prices will go down just like Dante Hall's did when he went Special Teams crazy.
