Here is a message from Tim Virgilio who runs SFS.
If you know Tim or have dealt with him for this cause I hope things work out for him and his family and can return at some point to continue his work.
With what has happened to Tim I hope our other members in the area made it through the storm with no issues.

The End?

In November 2014, I started a journey that I didn’t know I would take. All I wanted to do was raise $500 for a charity to help homeless & disabled veterans nearly 9 years later, this journey has allowed me to help so many people, meet amazing everyday people, & meet athletes I never thought I’d meet.

if you’ve been watching the news you know that Hurricane Idalia came through the Gulf of Mexico & impacted Florida. Here in St Petersburg, the neighborhood I live in was devastated by storm surge that has caused major flood damage. This includes my home for the second time in 3 years.

I am officially shutting down Signatures For Soldiers for the foreseeable future. I need to focus on my home & my family & some possible changes in the future. If I am able, I will plan to maintain the 501(c)3 status that SFS currently has. I hope to return back to the important work that SFS has accomplished over the last 9 years. However, I’m unable to put a timeframe on this return.

For now, THANK YOU for this incredible journey. THANK YOU for the incredible support. THANK YOU for helping to make real change in the lives of our Nation’s Heroes.
