    Former junk waxer saying hi

Hey guys. Like the title says I grew up in the hey day of baseball junk wax. I became addicted at the poor old age of 5 (1989) when my dad gifted me his collection from the 70s and early 80s. I collected pretty hardcore til about 96 then kinda fell off. I remember as a young kid knowing just about every MLB player from simply flipping through my binders of the thousands of cards I collected. I've always held onto my cards hoping one day my son would enjoy the same gift my dad gave me.

Well, unfortunately we live in the world of Pokemon cards so kids aren't as excited about baseball cards as they used to. My son likes baseball...but not like it was in the days of Sportscenters hey day where you saw ever cool play all night and morning. Anyways, we've gone to a couple of minor league ball games and Savannah Banana games where I've seen my son (9) get excited about trying to collect autographs. A light went off and I figured we could try and put all my junkwax to use and see what we could get auto'd. We've already put together our first envelopes of some "easy" targets in hopes he'll see success and not get too frustrated. I'm really hoping to create something fun my son and I can work together at and create lasting memories.

I'll try and post any results we get. Also feel free to reach out for any advice you might have. I've researched the site and have learned a lot.

Anyways, just wanted to hi to everyone.
