This is certainly sad to see. Not a Bengals fan, but living in Ohio I heard a good deal about him during his rookie year and it seemed like he had a lot of promise.

I once had a similar accident- broke my neck in a swimming pool accident, fractured C3, 4, and 5 vertebrae... lost feeling, had to wear a halo as well. As someone who has suffered through it and been through many doctor's visits, I would advise Pollack to just be grateful he can still enjoy life and walk. Something like this can put a "game" into perspective.

It is probably best that he didn't play football again as much as he probably wanted to. The good news is that it looks he will at least come out of this with the ability to walk and so forth as tyler said above.
