Top Riser: Devon Achane, RB, Miami Dolphins
OK, I could’ve put this guy in this category for the last five weeks, but running backs just do not get love in the hobby.
It is a shame this guy got hurt, because he has been nothing short of spectacular for Miami – a team who was speculated to be trading for guys like Jonathan Taylor or signing Dalvin Cook.
As a third rounder out of Texas A&M, Achane has taken the most of his opportunity and ran with it (literally). In four games, the rookie has seven touchdowns and 527 total yards, including three games over 100 yards.
Despite his injury, Achane finished this past week with 11 carries for 151 yards and a touchdown.
According to the eBay price guide, Achane’s value has gone up over 23% in the past week. With the injury, though, it will be interesting from a hobby perspective to see if his cards take a slight dip, with him being out of the Dolphins high-flying offense.
This could be a chance for collectors to buy Achane, while his prices take a slight dip.
Honorable Mention: Desmond Ridder, QB, Atlanta Falcons
Top Faller: Jordan Love, QB, Green Bay Packers
This one hurts my soul.
As a personal collector of Love, his play on the field of late has definitely been less than subpar. After having six touchdowns and no interceptions in the first two weeks, Love has just two passing touchdowns and six interceptions in the last three weeks.
His most recent performance against the Raiders was a cherry on top in a series of lackluster performances.
Love has a couple of favorable games ahead, facing lowly Denver and Minnesota defenses, that could possibly help his statistical output.
Love’s value, according to the eBay price guide, took a little dip after the game Monday night, but with Love being a QB and people still holding out hope that he can be the next great Packers QB, his value will always be there … for now.
Honorable Mention: Mac Jones, QB, New England Patriots (seriously, if you have not sold this man, it is way too late.)
