NHL 'Frozen Frenzy' coverage on ESPN networks, All 32 NHL teams in action

'Frozen Frenzy' coverage on ESPN networks has players excited, curiousAll 32 NHL teams in action during whip-around coverage Tuesday

Hockey fans aren't the only ones excited for "Frozen Frenzy" on Tuesday. NHL players are as well.On Tuesday, all 32 NHL teams will be in action with 16 games having staggered starting times. In addition to a tripleheader on ESPN, the network will have whip-around coverage from 7-8 p.m. on ESPN+, and then continue on ESPN2 at 8 p.m.

Nice to see the NHL try to do something different. I am a little surprised they didn't do this with Sportsnet in Canada as well. All 32 teams playing with staggered starts, and the National broadcast partner has one National game tomorrow night with the Rangers going into Calgary at a 9:45 Eastern time start time on a secondary Sportsnet channel Sportsnet360, and the Oilers & Canucks in regional blackouts on Sportsnet West and Pacific respectively. TSN on the other hand has regional blackout games for the Leafs, Habs, Sens, and the Jets.

Just seems like a lot of missed advertising dollars. The Leafs playing the Caps, Devils with Mercer visiting the Habs with Newhook. I would be willing to money down if Bell had the Natioanl contract there would be as many games on nationally as possible, we would probably be able to watch the Bruins and the Blackhawks on CTV Sci-Fi.

The NHL's TV rights in Canada are an absolute debacle and massive lost opportunity. They make it almost impossible for fans "out of viewing region" to access games...legally. The notion that only people in Quebec and the Maritimes want to watch the Habs is archaic and a relic of a bygone era. People in Eastern Canada should be able to watch McDavid without having to shell out $200.
Habs fan and collector! Main PC's: Carey Price, Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, Juraj Slafkovsky, and of course...
