Selling with COMC Auctions vs eBay

Anyone used COMC auctions to sell on eBay vs listing directly to ebay yourself?
I have thought about doing it. I figure that using COMC as a consigner would eliminate the hassle of posting, shipping, etc...

If you have used COMC auctions, what was your experience? Was it:

    Easier or harder?
Cheaper or more expensive? (considering eBay fees + COMC consignment fees)
    Other useful insights?

    Yes, but not often.

I've never had a problem auctioning off cards myself, so I've never considered sending cards to COMC, just to use them as a consignor for something I wanted to auction anyway.

Having said that, the few times I've done it - it was cards I acquired via ePack & transferred to COMC, or they were cards I bought on COMC directly. The process was smooth (though it does take a week to list) and you're paid instantly, if I remember right.

IMO, timing is very important with auctions, to max out the dollar value. If I've already got the card in hand - I can control that better than if I send it somewhere else. If it's already somewhere else? Not worth the time and effort to get it in hand.

That's was my thought. For cards that transfer from epack. I've got a couple higher end cards and feel like letting COMC handle the auctions. It would eliminate the possibly of me screwing up the listing, the shipment, or damaging the cards. Maybe, I'll give it a try.

    Thanks for the feedback!
