Defense Question...
When a defense scores a TD, does that count against the other defense as points given up. For example, this week I started Jacksonville defense, and they havent let up any points, only problem is that the offense has given up 21 scores to Tennesees defense. So does it count against Jacksonville, I hope it doesnt becasue Im in a tight playoff and every point coutns.

in every league i have played in, the points do count against your defense....it is just simply TOTAL POINTS

I dont think it counted against Jacksonville defense, because they got my 10 fantasy points this week.

I played them as well and the J-Ville Defense only allowed 6 total points (Field Goal and 3 xtra points) .... while their offense giving up turnovers allowed the other 18 points. If your in a league where Total points count against your Defense you should either ask your commish to make a change to that or find a new league. J-Ville's defense had no way of stopping Tennessee from scoring those points and therefor should not be held responsible for those points.
I have ran my league for years now and never do I count total points against a Defense, it would be unfair for a lot of teams. You should only count the true points your Defense allows to the opposing offense.

i know that in regulation nfl.com leagues, it does count against you, and they still got 15 points....i think they only gave up under 150 yards of offense and probably some sacks....10 points for a team that only gives up 6 points and absolutely no offensive yards isn't very much.

yeah, yahoo leagues are lame when it comes to defense....i dont think they count int/fumble returns against your defense, but also doesn't count yardage against you....just a pretty simple defensive scoring format. if its a yahoo league then it wouldn't have counted against you.
