OPC Gretzky RC question…the yellow dot…

I’ve been watching some YouTube videos on how to spot a fake and they’ve been great…but since I’ve never owned the card but am starting to window shop I am curious about something. Is the yellow dot on the shoulder a hard and fast rule? Has anyone ever owned or seen an authentic graded OPC Gretzky rookie that didn’t have the yellow shoulder dot? Thanks for any responses I get.

    The Dot means everything

If there's no dot it's a fake or reprint. Also keep in mind there a plenty of fakes out there that does have the dot, so just because you see that dot doesn't mean your 100% in the clear.

If you are planning to buy a Gretzky rookie don't take any chances, buy a graded one. This card has been faked like crazy

Also Keep in mind that this rule only applies to the O-Pee-Chee Card and not the Topps one.
