The first theme is: Best CHL / Team Canada Juniors Card

Many of today's top stars got their first taste of fame in the World Juniors playing for their country and/or ripping it up in the juniors. This is your chance to show your favourite card of a star before they were a superstar. This can be any card featuring CHL or players representing Team Canada at the World Juniors. For the purposes of this contest, we will include The Cup's Programme of Excellence cards, Canvas POE or any image featuring a player at the Juniors. The World Championships and Olympics do not count!

Posting guideline: please ensure that you have proof of ownership in your image. This can be as simple as having your SCF user name on a decoy card alongside your submission. I'll share an example below.

Contest is open to all SCF Members except for myself, fellow TM's, and anyone in the upper management. We can play, but we won't be eligible in the voting rounds.

Reminder about the points & RP available for participation:

How points will be awarded:

1pt for a valid entry

Voting:
4pts for first place
2pts for second place
If we get more than 10 entries, an additional point will be awarded to both 1st and 2nd place, and I'll award 1 point for 3rd place.

Each entry will earn you 25 Rewards Points. For those not familiar with SCF RP, it's a site currency that can be used to purchase cards from other members, the SCF Rewards Store, and get into special Group Breaks hosted by @doniceage

The winner of each week's contest will be awarded an additional 250RP.

I’ll jump in again this week with my Jumbo Joe Rookie from 96/97 Black Diamond. This set is so tough on condition so I am so proud to own this copy in BGS 9 Mint condition.

Late to the party....missed the first 3 weeks because I was super busy and didn't see that the Contest was back.

Anyway, here is my entry for Week 4: 1996 Donruss Elite World Juniors insert of Wade Redden. He had a long career, over 1000 games. But why I like him...Redden sponsored a suite at Scotiabank Place, named Wade's World and reserved for critically and terminally ill children, while a member of the Senators from 1997 until 2008. My then 13-year-old son battled brain cancer from 2015-2017 (he is now 7 years cancer free ), so this hits home and shows what kind of a great person Wade is.

Here is a kick to the nostalgia nuts. Thought this guy was gonna be the next big thing. Now the oversized top loaders are probably worth more than any card in the set. Still a gorgeous design.
