Hi,
I received these 3 cards as part of a larger lot that I got for relatively cheap. I don't have a lot of knowledge about cards from the 1980s and I just want to be sure I received legitimate cards. I have been looking online and found that there are some reprints of the card (some advertised as such, others not) but these particular three were advertised as legitimate 1986-87 OPC #53 Patrick Roy cards and the seller had a lot of positive feedback. Any help found be appreciated
Thanks

On the top border, just right-of-centre, there should be a small black dot.
All three cards are missing the dot.Habs fan and collector! Main PC's: Carey Price, Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, Juraj Slafkovsky, and of course...

Rich is right. All appear to be missing the little black dot, and the backs look to have the smoother appearance some of the of the reprint card versions. Some reprints from recollection may have had a reprint stamp on them.
Searching for: Jagr, Palffy, Stumpel, and Boyd

Interesting that PSA 10 listing, the card has no black dot either. Other listings show the dot clearly.

Very interesting indeed.
Any chance of any of his RCs without the black dot? Any history or evidence showing without. Only comparable I can think of is the Gretzky RC with the print lines, albeit the card fronts do not change.

That's an interesting question. The dot reportedly occurred as a result of a printing issue. Was it ever fixed? Did they do an additional run? All I know is my OPC Roy RCs have the black dot. I would never purchase one without it at this point.
