    Young Gun Reprints

These Young Guns below are Reprints. Can someone tell me the difference between these reprints below and the real thing?

Well this sucks that the reprints are getting so good, but they've been around for ages from Richard to Orr to Gretzky to modern.
Good point on the black line bottom right back corner, is the same for the Ovechkin.
Another thing for the Crosby/Ovechkin is the border shading on the card back. I have always looked at this as a way to measure centering. The shading does not look right at all. The Crosby almost has a white border between the shaded border and card edge. Should look like it was "spray painted" on the edge. Anyway the shading doesn't look to match at all, pull up some graded copies that are listed and the difference should be obvious.
I have 2 Crosby and 2 Ovechkin, 1 I pulled each from boxes, the other ones are BGS graded - so I know what I have.
The McDavid and Matthews, well I don't have either of those. (insert emoji sad face)
There was a different thread showed some Patrick Roy RCs, missing the black dot. Then the Gretzky with the dot on the shoulder. Someone always seems to know something so good to post this and ask.
Guess if one is to shell out 4 figures for a RC, you need to do your homework, these reprints make it tough.

Here is the back of my Ovy showing the line on the bottom right. Wish I had some of the others to share comparison.

Someone ended up bringing a Matthews in to Players Choice last weekend. As soon as you see them, you can tell. The cardstock is different, they look dull and don't have the gloss/vibrant finish of the real deal, they don't have the foil, the UD holofoil on the back obviously isn't there. People may be able to pull a sneaky to take advantage of people online, but in all honesty, if you're a seasoned hobby vet it's really obvious that they don't pass the eye test.

Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Why the heck, if its an UD reprint, dont they simply state the YEAR on the back of the card the reprint was made?

That would eliminate all confusion wouldnt it?
