Identifying some of the players in the background of Topps cards led Roy Carlson on a trip back in time where he found 1) Thurman Munson--a lot 2) old video of some of the plays at the plate pictured on cards and 3) mixups in the '77 World Series cards.

He also has his own connection to a football card cameo that includes a teenager who'd become an NFL coach.
