I have seen a Slafkovsky retro parallel with some green in it and it was a beauty. I will keep the eyes open to make trades for the basic rookies and retros of Slafkovsky and Xhekaj. I don’t plan to open any OPC Platinum at like 250cad per box.

You can always buy blasters. I've had much better luck with blasters than loose hobby packs the last 2 years.
I think last years hobby boxes go for about 150 all in on eBay auctions

I bought a bunch of 20-21 blasters. That year, they replaced UD1 for the Walmart Black Friday sale. One of my favorite breaks in the past few years.

Those blasters were a great value. Platinum was a great set when they kept it to 150 base and 50 rookies. With 200 base and 100 rookies, the product feels too watered down.

I remember the jumbo 14-15 boxes with 2 autos going for 100Cad at some point. I pulled a Gaudreau rookie auto in one of those. I moved it, but I still have basic rookies of Draisaitl and Pastrnak.
The issue of diluted checklists with too many cards of low-level prospects is not only with OPCP, the same thing happened with most hockey products.
