Week of Habs Mail - including a very memorable Caufield piece

Let's do the cards first, and then get to the really special bit.

OK before I do the cards, I do have to show off at least a couple of photos from last week's Habs/Canucks game. In sum, the Canucks crushed us and looked every bit the contender that their place in the standings suggest. Relentless forecheck, great depth, just a strong team all through the lineup.







After Slafkovsky scored, my phone started blowing up with friends sending me messages that we were on the TV. Neat!

OK a fun little piece of history / story time...

April 29, 2022 is the end of an era for Habs fans. Barring a medical miracle, it is Carey Price's last NHL game. In the height of irony, the Habs won 10-2. After years of carrying the team as far as he could because they couldn't score, and his knees gave out, they finally gave him some massive offensive support. LOL Anyways, rookie Cole Caufield had a hat trick that night, capping off a wonderful second half of his debut season (since Marty St. Louis took over). I saw this item below on the NHL Auctions site and knew I had to have it...or at least put in a really solid bid on it. Bridging the gap between the last generation of my PC, and the new one, as it were. I was honestly surprised that I won it. But it's a beauty!

Great cards and that puck is a classic! Congrats on getting such an epic piece! Glad you were able to get on the jumbotron even in a losing effort. Been there a few times at Leaf games of course also in losing efforts lol! Thanks for sharing.

@odjickfan I like seeing some of these guys get an insert or two along the way. Definitely like the concept...bit of a silly name but they do look cool!
