For my NHL Bracket Challenge this year I ended up taking Colorado over the Rangers. I went back and forth a bit between the Avs and Dallas. I think it's a wide-open field this year, but the Champs will come out of the West once again.

I've got rose coloured glasses on, but if the Oilers don't win it this year, it's never going to be easier.

I'd take any of the Central teams (DAL, WPG, COL, VEG) to beat any of the other three Pacific teams (VAN, LA, NSH). Oh, toss in that Demko is out for game 3, and it sounds like he's questionable for the rest of the round....

No, it doesn't make them champs - but the Oilers should get out of the Pacific without too much trouble, while the Central beats each other up. I think a run to the finals (I have the Oilers beating the Rangers for the Cup) is looking very good this season.

Hockey Playoffs are the best of all sports.

That time of the year to read all those great threads on social media on why their team lost.

1) Refs were biased
2) Bettman hates Canada
3) Not enough penalties called

5) Vegas (or insert another US based team) are way over the cap

7) (insert name) should have been suspended for the whole series because they hit (insert best players name on a Canadian based team)

For real now, I think a Vegas, Carolina finals would be great to watch.

i went 5 rangers and 5 avs in my 10 pick pool, Rangers are my team :) Before they started you could have told me any one of Bos/Fla/Tbay was coming out of that side of the bracket and I wouldnt have argued. Washinton and the isles, despite a couple close scores, look like they just dont belong. After 2 games and seeing what the Avs have in net Im second guessing my pic there :(

To be fair @zunato #4 and #8 are brutally true. LOL

Good bounce back game from Colorado last night....and I worry for the Canucks if Demko is hurt to the extent he won't be able to play in the series. DeSmith is a fine goalie, but teams (they'll never admit it) do play differently when it's the backup instead of the established star tendy, particularly at this time of year.
